After undergoing a prototype testing period, the DoD awarded a $100 million production contract to Teleidoscope to produce the system. The new system will use machine learning and augmented reality to help identify any objects that enter the National Capital Region (NCR) airspace where numerous military bases, intelligence agencies, and governmental offices are located.
